The City of Yorba Linda contracts with the Orange County Sheriff's Department for Police Services. The Sheriff's Department is responsible for providing for the protection of citizens, the enforcement of laws, apprehension of criminals, and crime prevention. Law enforcement services include patrol, general and special crime investigation, traffic enforcement, collision investigation, parking enforcement, and a crime prevention unit. A Sheriff’s lieutenant, is designated as the Chief of Police Services and is responsible for the day-to-day operation of law enforcement services in the City maintaining an atmosphere of safety in our community.

VACATION CHECK SERVICE
If you are interested, Yorba Linda Police Services deputies will periodically check your home while you are away on vacation. Provide your address, the dates you will be away on vacation, your cell phone number, and if anyone has your permission to be on your property while you are gone(gardener, pool service, etc.). This information is used exclusively by the Sheriff’s Department and is not shared with or stored by anyone else.
