ALERTOC (Often known as Reverse 9-1-1)
AlertOC is a mass notification system designed to keep Orange County residents and businesses informed of emergencies and certain community events. By registering with AlertOC, time-sensitive voice messages from the County or City in which you live or work may be sent to your home, cell or business phone. Text messages may also be sent to cell phones, e-mail accounts and hearing impaired receiving devices. It is also commonly called "Reverse 9-1-1," but this a registered trademark.
To sign up for AlertOC, go to www.alertoc.com and you will see a map of Orange County. Simply click on the City of Yorba Linda. Once you are on the Yorba Linda screen, click on the appropriate option and then fill out the required information. Once you have submitted the information, the City and County will be better able to get the word out to you in an emergency.
The City encourages all of our residents to register!
