Councilman Winder

Councilman Winder and his wife, Roseann, have lived in Yorba Linda for over 12 years. They have three grown daughters and are proud grandparents with three grandchildren. Over the years, Jim has been very involved in youth sports, the arts, church and school functions, and family activities. Jim's career in law enforcement spanned 29 years having recently retired as Captain in the Brea Police Department. Jim is a familiar face to many residents having served over 11 years as the Police Department's Yorba Linda Liaison and chief law enforcement officer. He has always been active in the community including serving as past Vice-President of the Chamber of Commerce, member of the Lions Club, and fundraiser for numerous civic and cultural organizations.

Councilman Winder has been appointed to represent the City Council on the City Audit Committee, the Four Corners Transportation Policy Group, the Orange County Vector Control Agency, the National League of Cities, the Orange County Sanitation District, the Southern California Association of Governments, and as the Council's liaison to the Yorba Linda Water District.
