Mayor Schwing

Mayor Mark Schwing has been a resident of Yorba Linda since 1986. He has previously served on the Council from 1988 to 2000, and been Mayor in 1991, 1997 and 2009. Mark graduated from the US Naval Academy in 1963 and retired as Commander in 1984. Since 1969, he has owned his own business, Electronic Model Systems, located here in Yorba Linda. He has been active in many organizations, including the Orange County United Way, North Orange County Heart Association, Hobby Manufacturers Association, and Orange County Model A Ford Club. He and his wife, Eileen, share 2 daughters, 1 son, and 4 grandchildren.

Mayor Schwing has been appointed to represent the City Council on the Audit Committee, Foothill/Eastern Corridor Joint Powers Authority, League of California Cities, National League of Cities, Southern California Association of Governments, and Transportation Corridor System.
